Sometimes you just have to take initiative and make yourself completely unavailable during breaks. Or else work finds it way to you. I guess this is one way of doing it! XD
Arp is the author of a comic called Fried Cheese Balls, which features slice of life memories of growing up between India & America. I love learning about other cultures so I hope it runs forever!
These guest comics have been drawn by fellow Webcomics Underdogs, and paid for by generous Kickstarter donors, allowing me more time to work on the book! A big thank-you to everyone who's helped out! 8D
Thanks Sara - I appreciate the opportunity and am happy to contribute to the site :)
I just re-connected with Steve on Facebook. This was a summer job for both of us and we treated it as such. Bathroom breaks, smoking breaks (for me at the time), exceedingly long lunches (usually involving Mario Kart) - anything we could do to avoid the banal & stultifying nature of the job - which was working at the local water company.
Thank you, Arp! All these guest comics have really taken a lot of stress out of my life, with all the Kickstarter work. I'm so happy to have your art (and everyone else's) on my site! 8D
When I worked the graveyard shift at the diner there was a cook who would bring in his N64. I remember playing Pokemon Stadium in the office with him in the wee hours of the morning.
