Thanks to all of you the Volume 2 Kickstarter was successful! Not only was I able to finish printing the webcomic run, but every guest artist who worked on it got their own copy! I remember the feeling of seeing my own work in print for the first time and I'm so glad I got to give that to someone else!
And with that How We Stay Sane @ Work is done. It's been a great ride, and one that lasted a lot longer than I thought it would. It wasn't the most polished or technically savvy webcomic out there, but I hope it brought you joy. Thanks to everyone who supported me along the way. I'll try to keep this site up as long as possible. Note that you can also read the comic on Tapastic. If you enjoy the series you can buy the books by clicking on the links above, or just browse my Gumroad shop for other prints and zines.
Once again, thank you!
My latest webcomic The Uncontrollable Wreck-Lass just launched on January 9th, 2018! If you like humor, kids with superpowers, and talking cats you're gonna love this. It's also on Tapastic! Get the pages a week early by becoming a Patron on Patreon.

Happy Tuesday, Jobzombies! I apologize for the lack of TPS Tuesday, things kind of got away from me yesterday due to a doctor's appointment (Was just a follow-up visit from a couple weeks ago, nothing to worry about!). I'm currently finishing up the rough sketch for Thursday's comic, and should hopefully have it uploaded in time for it to go live at midnight my time (GMT -6), but it may be a few hours late. I'll do my best to get everything caught up and next week should have a TPS Tuesday, as well as a Thursday comic.
In the meantime, I'm gathering stories for a segment that I'm hoping to run starting in the new year titled "My First Job", with stories about things we have done before we were officially in the workforce. If you have a story (even funny/interesting stories from scouting days, if applicable!), please submit them!
The current 2016 convention schedule! Will be updated periodically.
Here are the conventions I plan on attending for the rest of 2015:
I'll be selling Zero's Heroes, Science Heroes, and HWSS@W stuff! Aaron Walther, the writer of Zero's Heroes, will also be attending Project Comicon! It's always fun doing cons with him and I'm excited for these busy months ahead.
THIS IS NOT A DRILL. THE BUTTON HAS BEEN PRESSED. THE KICKSTARTER IS A GO!
Raising $1,500 by June 12th will net us a sweet book with extras like the Guide to Office Slang and more Server Exercise Routines! You can also get rewards like a super-swanky customized name badge with your dream job title.
Check out the campaign here --> http://kck.st/1FvPaI6
A CEO's bankroll is not needed. Every little donation helps. If you can't donate, please consider passing it along to your friends and family.
Thanks so much everybody for helping me get this far! Let's keep it going!
Hello again Faceless Workers!
I'm trying out names for the fanbase. Yes, no?
Anyway, boring things like errands coupled with holiday prep at the bakery have reduced my working time by a lot. I am currently working on a release form of sorts, for everyone who supplied stories and likenesses, for permission to publish them in book form and subsequently sell them. Not riveting progress, but very necessary. I'm currently trying to remember the emails of all the submitters. If I have used your likeness/story in any of my comics please shoot me an email, Tumbl, or Tweet and I will include you in the Release Form Email Blast. When I capitalize it like that it almost sounds exciting!
Oh yeah, I got a Twitter. I feel like I'm being buried in tweets by people who know marketing a lot better than me...
To leave you on a good note until the next update, Q2Q is another webcomic I found about a thankless job: theater techs! Many chuckles to be had, for sure. Enjoy, and Happy Thanksgiving!
All my cons for the summer are done! I can't believe it. @.@ There's one more in the fall, but for now I can relax and focus on art. Thanks to everyone who came out to KantCon! I got some great stories that I'll be using to fill out the last of my 100 comic goal. Will HWSS@W continue after the 100 mark? That depends on you guys. Would you be interested in a book? Would you mind if I handed the reigns off to someone else? There's a longer-form project I'd like to get started on before the year is up. Please let me know what you think by commenting on a strip or emailing me at projectshirostudios (at) gmale (dot) com.
Secondly, I had mini-comics printed up just for the con but none of them were snatched up. If you'd like to order one or any of my other merch head on over to the shiny new Merch Page. :3
And if you'd like to see pictures from any of my cons this year head on over to the Con Report tag on my Tumblr.
